About Us |
In 1991 which witnessed the end of the Lebanese civil war, an amnesty law described then as contradictory to the most basic rules of ethics and tenets on a worldwide scale, was issued following that conflict. For the year 2005, the local House of Parliament reverted again by decreeing a number of illegal pardons unrelated to any known international set of official rules. This outrageous action witnessed the naming of convicted criminals sentenced for their crimes by unspecific regulations, thus dismissing the legal basis of the code of rules and regulations and their true proper contexts. As if though we were in the midst of a tenets committee which analyses then rejects while implementing its own convictions and selected unjustified priorities, constantly denying legal proven parameters and avoiding purposely all references recognized by lawmen right from the beginning and throughout the Human Civilization. Such undesired twist of events does forcibly lead us to retrace the path to be pursued by this country in its attempts to swerve from the lurking threat thus avoiding irrevocable mistakes. Therefore we edited as friends of Habib Shartouni, a statement that had been executed after a lapse of time via an extensive and comprehensive study of law which was also published.
